DESCRIPTION:The Remote Emer­gency Care (REC) course is designed by remote health clin­i­cians for remote health clin­i­cians. The course is con­tex­tu­alised to the remote and iso­lat­ed prac­tice\, with cur­rent evi­dence-based con­tent with­in a cross-cul­tur­al frame­work aligned with Nation­al Stan­dards. DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Joanne Kostopoulos\, Women’s Health Strategy and Programs\, North Metropolitan Health Service. \nTarget audience: Human service providers working with people experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) and mental health issues. \nIn order to work effectively and safely with those experiencing and perpetrating FDV\, it is important we become FDV trauma-informed. \nThis training will cover the physical and mental health outcomes of exposure to FDV and the many ways these manifest and may present to varied services. Compassionate staff contribute to and foster the environment this person now calls their home. The aging\, dying and death concept can be a fearful experience for both the resident and their loved ones. This is also the case for the staff and other residents working and living in the facility. \nWorking in an environment with residents who are aging and dying can be demanding of you both professionally and personally.
