All flights are free and may involve patients\ntravelling to medical facilities anywhere in Australia. Angel Flight pilots do\nnot carry aeromedical staff so do not act as an alternative to the Royal Flying\nDoctor Service or Air Ambulance. Angel Flight regularly coordinates up to\ntwenty flights per day. \nWho is transported?\n• Family flight for compassionate reasons\n• Blood and blood products\, Medical Equipment\, Person Protective\nEquipment supplies (PPE)\n• Medical drugs\n• Other compassionate transfers- just ask us \nHow is the service accessed?\nHealth Professionals (eg\, medical practitioner\, nurse\, social worker) who\nhave a good knowledge of the patient’s medical condition are the only\npeople from whom Angel Flight can receive and accept ‘mission requests’.\nHealth Professional registrations are over 4\,200.
