Australian Resuscitation Council – Advanced Life Support 2

This two-day Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) course aims to teach senior members of the multidisciplinary team the theory and practical skills to effectively manage cardio-respiratory arrest, peri-arrest
situations and cardiac arrests in special circumstances.

Course Content:
 Causes and prevention of cardiac arrest
 Advanced Life Support (ALS) treatment algorithm
 Post resuscitation care

Workshops
 Advanced airway management
 Systemic patient assessment (A-E approach)
 Manual or Automatic defibrillation
 Cardiac arrest simulations

Eligibility: For Medical Emergency Team members, medical and nursing staff working
in critical care areas, after hours and/or remote sites.

COST:
$300 for WACHS employees
$600 for other Health Service employees
$1500 for external candidates
