Electronic prescribing – using ASL in general practice

5 May 2022 @ 11:00 am - 11:30 am

Electronic prescribing is now widely available and used across Australia. The Active Script List (ASL) is a new functionality to help patients manage their electronic prescriptions and is anticipated to be available to most people across Australia in 2022.

In this session, delivered in partnership with the Australian Digital Health Agency, we discuss how the ASL works, how patients sign up, how GPs view the ASL, how GPs stop medicines going to the ASL and we also answer your questions.

This session is part of the Digital health live Q&A series running across May.

Learning outcomes

  1. Explain how the ASL works
  2. Describe the potential benefits and limitations of the ASL
  3. Articulate how a patient registers for an ASL
  4. Explain how a prescriber can stop medicines going to the ASL
