Improving our performance through evaluation: The What, the So What & the Now What (12-14 Dec 2022)

So you want to do an evaluation …but don’t know where to start?
Evaluation helps us work out what works, what doesn’t work and how we can do better. The workshop will provide you with the knowledge and skills to plan a systematic evaluation.

Workshop Topics Include:
• How to design an evaluation and create a comprehensive evaluation plan.
• How to tell your program’s story with evidence.
• Why engaging with First Nations communities throughout an evaluation is
critical to success.
• Strategies to develop program logic maps and theory of change diagrams to guide
evaluation.
• Identifying design options and data collection methods.
• Creative ways of reporting evaluations.
About the Facilitator:
Dr Delwyn Goodrick will facilitate an interactive, practical, and fun workshop to illustrate evaluation concepts. You will gain skills that can be applied in your work and in the community.
Dr Goodrick has a wealth of experience in program evaluation and is a gifted teacher and facilitator. She has an excellent understanding of the Midwest context and has supported WACRH in some of their previous evaluation work.
Some of her previous evaluation areas are very relevant to issues in rural WA, for example the Aboriginal Family Violence 10-year plan (mid-term review), Turnaround Schools (NZ), Evaluation Framework for Te Hau Toka (community wellbeing), Reducing re-offending strategy
