Learning on the Run Workshops (Geraldton) February – March 2024
About Learning On the Run
The Learning on the Run (LOTR) program is designed for those about to enter their health profession or who are on an early career pathway. We are inviting recent health profession graduates and final year university health profession students to attend this series of workshops.
Workshop Delivery
Learning on the Run involves four 1.5-hour workshops that will be delivered face-to-face at the WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) in Geraldton, Western Australia. Each workshop will be delivered in a blended learning format, with around 30-45 minutes online preparation and a 1.5hour workshop face-to-face. Each topic can be offered as a standalone or component part of the entire package depending on your needs. Priority will be given to those able to attend all four.
Registration
To confirm which workshops you would like to attend send an email to kathryn.fitzgerald@uwa.edu.au. There is no cost to participate. Please be aware there is a limited numbers at each workshop. Once your registration is confirmed, you will be provided with a code for self-sign up to get access to the learning materials and complete the online module.
Facilitator
Kathryn Fitzgerald is an accredited LOTR facilitator and an experienced allied health professional and educator from the WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) in Geraldton.
Workshops
The workshops are held at WACRH, 167 Fitzgerald Street in Geraldton and will all be 8.45am-10.15am. It is expected that the online component is completed by participants prior to each workshop.
Session 1: Finding Your Feet (1/2/24)
At the end of this session you will be able to:
•Articulate your professional identity
•Identify how to optimise learning
•Establish some learning goals
•Identify tips for time management
