We are writing to remind you that registration for the Rural Health West CPD: Rural Obstetric and Gynaecology Forum 2021, being held at DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront on Friday 18 to Sunday 20 June 2021, are now open!
This forum is part of the WA Country Health Service and Rural Health West Resident Specialist Procedural GP Education Series.
The forum will be limited to 60 participants. Travel subsidaries will apply for all practicing WA country doctors. The event will include a mix of lectures, problem based discussions, simulation and skills stations happening concurrently over the weekend. It will also be an opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues.
The following sessions will meet some of the criteria for the WA Country Health Service credentialing guidlines:
- Fetal heart monitoring (Fetal Surveillance Education Program) – Friday 18 June 2021 – Spaces are limited
- Obstetric emergencies
- Instrumental vaginal birth
- Perineal Tears
- Impacted Head/Complicated caesarian
This forum is pending accreditation with RACGP and ACRRM. The forum has been approved for the Rural Procedural Grant (Obstetrics component 2 days).
Open to all currently practicing GP Obstetricians, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists and GP Registrars with Advanced or Basic DRANZCOG.

Rural Health West are monitoring the situation closely, and advice issued by the premier and WA Health. To reduce the risk of infection Rural Health West have developed a strategy to protect all delegates attending our face-to-face education. Upon your arrival at the workshop you will be provided with a face mask. Hand sanitiser will be available in each room. Your temperature will be taken and recorded on the waiver, if your temperature is 37.5 degrees or higher, you will be asked not to participate in the forum. We require all delegates to sign a waiver before the forum commences. There will be a Rural Health West staff member onsite to monitor delegate proximity and clean stations between sessions.
