Testing and treating hepatitis C in general practice is a key strategy to prevent hepatitis-related complications including cancers, and for achieving elimination of hepatitis C in NSW and Australia. This session aims to increase GP confidence in identifying patients for testing, prescribing DAAs and understanding when specialist referral is needed for HCV care. GPs will learn how to identify and engage a diverse range of patients in testing and treatment with or without specialist assistance; learn about alternate testing options and referral processes.
