The Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Diabetes WA is offering a diabetes update for health professionals working within the community health or aged care setting. The training will provide participants with an increased understanding of diabetes and the services available to their patients. Training is suitable for Enrolled Nurses, Registered Nurses, GPs, Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacists.

This course will explore the theoretical and practical sides of managing sporting injuries with an emphasis on current research. Presented topics include shoulder, ankle and knee injuries with focus specifically on ligament, tendon and muscle. Participants will also gain information on acute onfield management and travelling with a sports team, as well as a large practical component on taping techniques.
