Occupation: General practitioner
What are your professional interests/specialties?
I’m a general practitioner and I have done advanced skills training in emergency medicine. I also work for Regional Training Hubs and Rural Clinical School WA. My special interest is always changing.
Tell us, where are you from and how did you get to be a general practitioner in the Midwest-Gascoyne region?
I am from Perth and escaped to the country in 2017 as an intern, after loving my Rural Clinical School placement in 2015 in Geraldton.
What do you love about the Midwest-Gascoyne?
I love working in Geraldton because I feel that we have quite a connected community of health professionals. It’s awesome to be able to call other reception teams, specialists and allied health professionals to collaborate to improve patient outcomes.
Did you always want to be a general practitioner? Why?
No, I loved rocks and chemistry in high school. But people are quite interesting too.
What are your passions?
I love trail running, cycling and attempting home renovations.
When you aren’t working, where will we find you?
Probably walking my crazy kelpie Miles, getting stuck into a project at home or drinking coffee.
